Manali Mountain Travel Diary

The winding roads leading to Manali were a prelude to the adventure that lay ahead. As our bus curved through pine-covered hills and snow-dusted peaks emerged in the distance, I could feel the excitement building. Manali welcomed us with a crisp chill in the air and a view that looked straight out of a postcard.Checked into a cozy wooden cottage in Old Manali — warm tea, thick blankets, and the sound of the Beas River gurgling nearby set the perfect tone for the trip.

Exploring Old Manali – Cafés, Culture & Calm

Old Manali is where time slows down. Narrow lanes lined with quirky cafés, Himalayan art shops, and apple orchards made for a laid-back morning stroll. I sipped on hot chocolate at Café 1947, one of the oldest riverside spots, with music that matched the vibe.In the evening, I trekked slightly uphill to the Hadimba Devi Temple, nestled amidst cedar forests. The spiritual calm and architectural beauty were worth every step.
